Information Centres

The information centre of the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area in Dolní Lomná raises environmental awareness amongst the public by allowing access to general and professional knowledge about the environment. Its activities are aimed at boosting interest in the area’s natural riches and thus it also opens the way to nature. The centre’s concept is based on education through interactive experience.

The Blanský lest Information Centre is designed for visitors of Blanský les Protected Landscape Area and also for the local people. It provides information about the nature, tourist destinations and events held in the region.

Welcome to the Bohemian Karst Protected Landscape Area. Come to the unique limestone landscape of white rocks in the deep canyon of the Berounka River, a landscape of quarries, light deciduous forests, dry flowering meadows and locations where Joachim Barrande collected fossils. The memorable Karlštejn Castle is hidden among the hills in the heart of the area.

The information centre of the Český ráj Protected Landscape Area in Bukovina is located in the Bukovina arboretum, within the Hruboskalsko nature reserve, and is housed in a Swiss-style summerhouse dating back to the latter half of the 19th century. It was opened in 2005 after the reconstruction of the summerhouse. The information centre is part of the Hrubá Skála Palace, a national heritage site.

The Jeseníky Protected Landscape Area Information Centre is open to the general public and provides visitors with information about the nature and landscape of the Jeseníky Mountains and tourist destinations. Here you can see a geological exhibition showing the diverse rock composition of the Jeseníky Mountains, the Rychlebské Mountains and Králický Sněžník.

The information centre provides services for visitors throughout the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area.

A live exhibition shows the ties between man and nature in the life of an ordinary village or small town. A village garden with bees is the true garden of our grandparents.

The Information Centre of the Moravský kras (Moravian Karst) Protected Landscape Area is located nearby Macocha, the deepest "lighthole" abyss in the Czech Republic. The centre is operated by the Cave Administration of the Czech Republic.

The information center is the gateway to the Soos National Nature Reserve with its famous nature trail and also a starting point for tourist destinations in the Cheb region. Visitors can find out information about Soos, the local nature trail, nature and landscape protection, and other tourist destinations in the region.

In November 2025, the reconstruction of a dilapidated building in Mariánskohorské Boudy near Albrechtice in the Jizera Mountains and Josefov Důl was completed. The new Information Center of the Jizera Mountains Protected Landscape Area will open in spring 2026 and will become part of the nationwide network of visitor and information centers "House of Nature".
