In November 2025, the reconstruction of a dilapidated building in Mariánskohorské Boudy near Albrechtice in the Jizera Mountains and Josefov Důl was completed. The new Information Center of the Jizera Mountains Protected Landscape Area was opened in spring 2026 and became part of the nationwide network of visitor and information centers "House of Nature".
Thousands of people go on a trip to the nearby Protržená přehrada (“Torn Dam”) on the Desná river. The Information Center offer an interesting art exhibition about the Jizera Mountains, in which each element tells a different part of the story of this mountain range.
Visitors of new Information Center in Marianskohorské Boudy can also see a brand new documentary film about the Jizera Mountains.
The project investor was the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic with funding from the National Recovery Plan - Support for the Recovery of Natural Landscape Functions. The reconstruction was carried out by KVAPRO s.r.o.
