The A Loop, a 2.1 km walking circuit, is situated around Bránský Pond and showcases two significant buildings by renowned Czech architect Jan Blažej Santini Aichel: the Lyra Farm Court and the Lower Cemetery. The B Loop, a 2.6 km trail, takes you through areas of the highest nature and landscape protection. It guides you through the picturesque surroundings of Konvent Pond, offering views of the pond, the castle, and, notably, the pilgrimage church of St. John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora.

Educational Trail Babín

Explore the Babín nature trail in Žďárské vrchy, offering a 4.5-kilometer route through preserved natural areas. Starting in Žďár nad Sázavou at the Secondary Technical School on Strojírenská Street, the trail follows the blue tourist sign to Babín.

The trail features six informative stops highlighting local natural features such as wetlands and bogs. Key points include:

  • Stop 1: Peat mining history and muskrat habitats.
  • Stop 2: Ecotone at a pond cove, home to amphibians, herons, and waders.
  • Stop 3: Observing water birds.
  • Stop 4: Waterlogged meadows, a hunting ground for owls.
  • Stop 5: Riparian woodlands with diverse bird species.
  • Stop 6: Reeds filtering nutrient runoff and eleven artificial islands for bird nesting.

In the forest, you can observe the black woodpecker's activity. The final stop features peatland with the rare round-leaved sundew.

Visitors are advised to stay on marked routes, wear appropriate footwear, and respect nature and other visitors.

Educational water trail Veselský rybník

The 2.5 km trail around Veselský Pond in Nové Veselí focuses on aquatic animals and the environment, making it perfect for families with children and suitable for strollers. Parking is available in the village by the pond.

Visitors can explore the local fauna, flora, historical sites, and environmental protection through 10 interactive information panels. The trail also features two water-themed statues, a fireplace with roasting forks, and musical instruments like a xylophone and lithophone.

At the end, you can either return the same way or complete a circuit along the asphalt road. For those with extra energy, there's a bird observatory on a freely accessible wooden tower on the other side of the pond.
