It presents visitors with the nature of the Blanik Protected Landscape Area and the national geopark entitled The Region of the Knights of Blanik, together with Blanik’s famous legend of the armies which are asleep inside the mountain. This house of nature was built in 2015 with financial support from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Environment Operational Programme. It is operated by the branch of the Czech Union for Nature Conservation in Vlasim.
Visitors will find an exhibition on the natural, geological, cultural and historical points of interest of the Podblanicko region. The Poodri House of Nature
The landscape of the Poodri (‘River Odra’) region was formed by two powerful elements, water and man. Over the course of centuries man learned to manage the alluvial plain and learned to respect the water. The result of this co-existence is a harmonious river landscape, characterised by large meadows, lakes and scattered greenery where rare as well as quite ordinary plant and animal species find their home.
